Paint with Helen Allen in Guernsey

Helen Allen, founder and principal of the Chelsea School of Botanical Art, will be leading a four-day botanical art workshop in Guernsey.  The workshop runs from 12th to 15th June, 10am to 4pm, as part of the Guernsey Arts Commission’s Lady Tait Botanical Art Exhibition.

Five spaces remain and eadline for registration and payment is 24th May.  Plants from the South African exhibit at the 2018 Chelsea Flower Show will be on hand, courtesy of Raymond Evison and the South African Chelsea Team. 



About Helen Allen: 

With an eye for detail, fascination for pattern and a great love of plants, Helen Allen delights in sharing her experience through painting and teaching.  A textile designer-turned-teacher, Helen attended the English Gardening School in the Chelsea Physic Garden where she gained the prestigious Diploma in Botanical Painting and Illustration.  Helen’s acclaimed courses at The Chelsea School of Botanical Art at the Chelsea Physic Garden have produced students that went on to exhibit internationally, win RHS gold medals, and illustrate for Curtis’ Botanical Magazine. 

Mrs Allen will also hold a painting demonstration on 16th June as part of the Lady Tait Exhibition in the Greenhouse Gallery, Candie Gardens.  Exhibition entry is priced at £6.
